Eurowire offers the most extensive range of wire shelving options in New Zealand. Currently we offer 53 different shelving sets. With such a wide selection finding the set which suits your needs can be time consuming so to save time we have the Eurowire Set Selector.

 

Post Diameter

First you need to decide the post diameter which is best suited to your needs. The 19mm diameter post is what we call the slim line option. These sets are best suited for living areas, bedrooms or locations where you want the shelving set to blend with its environment. The load capacity of the Eurowire 19mm range is 120kg per shelf.

The next alternative is the 25mm post, this is what we call our heavy gauge option. These sets are best suited for areas where you require extra load capacity and a more sturdy appearance. These sets are best suited for garages, kitchens and commercial type installations. The load capacity of the Eurowire 25mm range is 150kg per shelf.

 

Post and Shelf Finish

When selecting a shelving set it is important to understand what the coating is and how it has been applied to the shelves and posts. Eurowire offers two the highest grades of finishes available.

Chrome Plated: These shelves and posts are silver in appearance and are made from high grade wire and tubular steel which has first been copper plated then bright chromed. Chrome Plated does not chip and is offers high protection from rust and stains. This type of chrome plating is one of the highest grades of coating available for steel products.

Powder Coated: These shelves and posts are black in appearance and are made from high grade wire and steel which has been powder coated. Powder coating is where is the finish is applied as dry powder through an electrostatic process, then cured with heat. As the finish is electrostatically bonded to the wire and steel it is chip resistant and offers good protection against rust. Powder coating offers a higher level of finish to what is sometimes called epoxy finish which is where the coating is air sprayed onto the steel.

Please note Chrome plated and Powder Coated steel product are not suitable for extreme wet areas where it is likely the shelves and posts will be continually wet. For these types of environments the best solution is stainless steel.
